Relaxing & Exploring in Lake Tahoe

We started our day with sleeping in...then we went the the old Red Hut for a homecooked breakfast. Yummy! This morning we did some errands and took a long ride around the East end of Lake Tahoe...many more houses, great views of the western mountains, Vista Point outlook, and Cave Rock - we are driving through that.
Today was easy driving for Curt and the views were awesome, as you can see. We enjoyed ourselves very much!

I took this shot so you could see how tall and straight these pines are. Curt said that he has wondered were all those telephone poles came from. Maybe? The bark of the one I'm standing next to smells like butterscotch and vanilla. Mmmmmm!
We went to Kit and Todd's for a BBQ dinner and
some lively conversation. They have a really nice A frame house with really steep roof and lots of big skylights. The inside is decorated with bunches of Kit's fascinating paintings on unique subjects. We had so much fun and ate delicious food...it was a joy for all of us. God is surely healing many relationships along this journey.
Check out the sunset in the mountains, from Kit and Todd's driveway.

What a relaxing day we had. Tomorrow we head out for LA to see the Sorensens on Sunday.
Sweet dreams!
